Rambling Onwards

Despite having seen Ed Sheeran, months ago I bought standing tickets to his Stadium concert because 1) I've never been in the standing area of a concert before and 2) I'm quite a fan of Ed Sheeran. I have absolutely no regrets, even though people question why I went a second time in a year on the 9th December at Allianz Stadium (where T-Swiz had her RED Concert two years ago).

I was surprised that we weren't too far back even though we got there at 5pm - the crowd wasn't that big yet and we could actually see a decently sized, life-size Ed. Foy Vance, Passenger and Rudimental opened - Foy Vance was alright, Passenger was hilarious because he stopped in the middle of his songs to give commentary, and Rudimental made it feel like a festival. I was quite surprised at how many Rudimental tracks I knew, and I really enjoyed their set - it was fun.
Ed Sheeran's set was amazing. Although we had to brave the rain and get completely soaked, there was so much energy coming from the crowd - Ed himself said so and became a little rowdier than usual. And hey, even though I got completely soaked, everyone else did too and it was such an amazing bonding experience. Plus all the lights look really cool in these photos.

I cannot even begin to describe all the emotions that went through me on Saturday 28th November (I know, this post is a month late whoops) when I was lucky enough for the second time to see Taylor Swift herself perform live at ANZ Stadium, Sydney to 76,000 people! (She took my concert virginity with her RED Tour in 2013). When people ask me how it was, I tell them 'It was amazing, but not quite as life changing as The Script NSWS Tour'.

It was a really great ending to an amazing but really hectic week of being with the Law Revue crew on our road trip in Terrigal and then a friend's houseparty the night we got back - and I feel like most people would be confused about how I have energy for it all let alone how I manage it but I have a tendency to thrive off a jam-packed, crazy filled lifestyle. I need days off, sure, but I quickly can become bored if I'm trying to kill a few hours of time. But back to Tay Tay - this is something for another blog post.

I'll be honest - I haven't published a blog post in a month and it's entirely my fault that I haven't done so.

I can partially blame my social media/internet detox when I went away on two separate road trips, as well as putting in a lot of hours at work and my internship (which has now finished). Add on the fact that I wasn't necessarily motivated or interested in writing up blog posts about my experiences because I couldn't process what had happened and bam, you get my one month hiatus.

Today is the first full day I've had at home for a really long time. When people tell me they're bored and sick of being at home, I'm literally the opposite - I want to spend some time at home. I want to sit around and do nothing, or just do the things that I've been putting off because I don't have a solid block of time to get it done. And as much as I love spending time with my friends or being at work, I really need days off like today to refocus and chill out.

Today I've managed to decorate my room with some polaroids, finish up a blog post and I've started deleting photos from my phone to make space. There's still heaps of other things on my to do list, but I'm not going to stress myself out by making deadlines.

Sorry that this is just a really quick post, but I wanted to keep you in the loop! I've got a few blog posts coming out in the next week or so, so look out for them.

I love holidays.

And although I'm going to be spending most of mine at work (like I have the last week, a full 31 + 16 hrs of it), it's great having the option of doing whatever you want or something productive when you're home. Lately all my days off have consisted of lying in bed until midday, getting up and doing a blog post or two (sadly, not for my own blog sorry) and then going to something at night, whether that be work, a get together or my sister's school concert.

Because I've been so busy lately, I can barely remember what I've done on each day - it's only because I use a planner that I can remember. My dad has a running joke about me being busier than the Prime Minister - and I literally had to pencil in a dinner with a family friend two weeks in advance because I'm busy almost every night.

And because I haven't had time to sit down and write a blog post, I'm a bit backed up. Here's my adventures in Terrigal and surrounds in photos. Most of the photos were taken by friend Rhonda on her camera (she takes some amazing photos), so I'll put a * in the caption if it's hers.

We drove up on Sunday afternoon (22nd November) and we stayed in two really beautiful, lovely beach houses. If the driveways weren't so difficult to get into and if I hadn't been to the area a lot already, I would definitely go back. I didn't take many photos of the houses because it was really hard to take photos that did them justice - although if you want to know we stayed here. Our host were super nice and helpful and we adored the vibe the houses had.

Day 2: Avoca Beach. We went kayaking in the lagoon nearby before going into catch some waves. Needless to say we caught a lot of waves and a few of us got rescued.

We did a little day trip to Norah Head, visited a lot of beaches, made some delicious food, played drinking games and spent a lot of time together just chilling out, playing games and talking.

Hello friends!

I'm so glad to say exams are finally over and I'm done with uni for the year - and most importantly, I'm back! I'm genuinely really excited to be on break, although holidays for me aren't really a 'break', it's just a chance for me to do what I want to do since I have all these mini-projects I want to do, road trips to go on and places to visit, people to catch up with and something a little more normal - work. Just from looking at my planner (I need one for next year - throw me suggestions in the comments or on twitter!) I already know the next three months are going to be very very busy but it's a good change of scenery from studying and university.

I'll probably be posting about a lot of these projects that I'll be working on, but if they're study/book/room decor related you'll probably see them first on my studyblr before I do a big post here, so follow me if you want to be the first to see it.

From my studyblr. Okay this was on my Instagram as well - but I'm done with these notes for ECON1203 (Stats)! They served me well (and helped some other people too so I can't ask for more or be any happier).

I've also got a new camera that I haven't had a chance to play with and I want to take it with me somewhere and experiment! I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to go to Sculptures by the Sea and try my hand at photography (lol) but I'm sure something will come up in the future.

Really excited to be changing things up and sharing all my adventures with you!

For now, I'll say this for anyone who isn't feeling good after their exams (or anything really):

There's no point worrying about how you did now - it's over and there's nothing you can do about the past. If you reached your goal, then good job! But if you didn't meet your expectations and did poorly, then work out why. Work out why and make sure you fix it next semester, or for whatever you apply yourself to. Learn from your mistakes - and make sure you do your best to fix them. We can't change the past, but we can change the future.
