THE SCRIPT | No Sound Without Silence Tour (Part 2)
Tuesday, May 05, 2015I've been reliving The Script's concert by listening to their album and their older songs. It got me thinking.
Musicians who make their way the traditional way are such an inspiration to me - they stick to their art and chase their dreams, and for so many of them they come close to giving up before they get some kind of break. For many, they don't make it at all. But they take the risk - and I think that's such an amazing thing to do, to have the courage to say no to what everyone else thinks you should be doing, whether that's studying at uni or getting a "proper" job or something else entirely. I can only imagine what it's like to be almost broke, chasing your dreams and making music and just not getting anywhere - and the resilience they must have to setbacks and disappointment. If there's anything I can learn from them, it's to have courage and to take risks, even though it may cause pain and have no certain outcome, because you will always learn from the experience.
